Homemade Protein Strawberry Milk

Most kids gear towards chocolate milk at the grocery store, but I have been a strawberry milk fan for as long as I can remember.

Nesquik Strawberry Milk was one of my favorite treats as a child to pick up at the gas station on a road trip or at the end of a grocery store trip.

As an adult, If I am craving a good strawberry milk I like the Fairlife Ultra Filtered option as its tasty lactose free ands a bit extra protein while being lower in added sugars compared to most brands of strawberry milk. It's all about finding balance and options that work for you.

However, you can also make a homemade protein strawberry milk with a few key ingredients that does the job for a nice little beverage snack or meal pairing.

You will need:

  • Frozen Strawberries (can substitute for fresh)

  • Vanilla Protein Shake (Can Substitute for Milk)

  • Cinnamon

  • Vanilla Protein Powder

  • Vanilla Extract

  • Ice

I like to begin by grabbing all my ingredients ahead of time before starting to blend.

I use about 1 cup of ice with this recipe. However, if you are using fresh strawberries you may want to add a few extra cubes.

I place one cup of frozen strawberries and my one cup of ice in the blender to begin. Then, I will go ahead and grab my liquid which is the Vanilla Iconic Protein Shake. These protein shakes blend exceptionally well, and I really enjoy the taste of them. I take 6oz or 3/4c of the liquid and add it to the blender.

Next, I grab my protein powder for an added vanilla taste and an additional boost of protein. I use ½ scoop of the Iconic Vanilla Protein Powder. Along with the protein powder, I will add-in about 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract.

All that is left to do is blend until smooth. My top smoothie tip is to always blend it for a few seconds longer than you think is needed for ultimate creaminess.
