Trader Joe's Fall Haul Favorites

5 min read

Happy fall haul season at Trader Joe’s aka the best season! I have an older blog post on my favorites, but so many new things have come out since 2022.

It’s time for a little refresh of what I always make sure to have in my cart, the new things I’ve tried, and some items I may pick-up later this year for the first time.

I guess we may as well start off with the pumpkin flavor.. since that is the superior seasonal flavor!

Pumpkin Flavor

  • Pumpkin Sourdough Bread
    • Ohhh she is brand new and she is lovely. I love me some sourdough and you truly can’t go wrong with one that’s pumpkin flavor. I definitely expected it to have a bit more pumpkin flavor, but I burnt try #1 a bit. It’s definitely not overly sweet meaning you can even use it to go savory.

  • Pumpkin Cream Cheese
    • An absolute must-have. It’s probably my favorite thing Trader Joe’s sells in general and I just absolutely love it. I put it on all types of waffles, toast, bagels, wraps and even make cheesecake with it.

  • Pumpkin Freezer Waffles
    • I make a ton of homemade waffles, but sometimes you just need a quick pre-workout snack and these are delicious. Plus, it’s a freezer option which means you can save them to last all-year round. 10/10 recommend pairing it with some pumpkin cream cheese or some cottage cheese.

  • Pumpkin Overnight Oats
    • I buy these and the Mush ones every season. For both brands my favorite flavor is most certainly the pumpkin ones. I adore them greatly, blend them into pancakes, put them in smoothies, pair with greek yogurt/cottage cheese, and enjoy them on their own for a meal or snack.

  • Pumpkin Pancake/ Waffle Mix
    • Combine the Trader Joe’s pumpkin mix with a protein pancake mix and you get absolute perfection. This pancake mix is full of pumpkin flavor, and the whole family can truly appreciate it.  They have gluten free and regular version. Both are a MUST buy.

  • Pumpkin Ginger Hold The Cones
    • Shockingly it’s not my all-time favorite flavor of Hold the Cones. I think I find this one a bit sweeter than the others. However, I do tend to pick-up a box because I love pumpkin spice and love these as a small dessert options/snack.

  • Pumpkin Pie Spice
    • Can't forget the ultimate fall spice to add to pancakes, toast, smoothies, creami's etc. It's elite and a staple i use year-round that you can only purchase in the fall.

Meals/ Sides

  • Harvest Chilli
    • I am super picky about my soups and chilli’s and Trader Joes is one of the only brands I buy. I love this harvest chilli that's only around during this time of year. It’s vegan, full of fiber, flavorful, and not too heavy. I highly suggest keep this on-hand as a staple warm comforting and nourishing meal this fall. Some of my other favorite soups from Trader Joe’s are the kettle cooked chicken soup, lemon orzo chicken soup, hearty minestrone soup, and the lentil and ancient grain soup. However, those soups are available year-round.

  • Cornbread Stuffing
    • I love me some stuffing and this was my first exposure ever to cornbread stuffing. I buy it every year and it’s so delicious. Especially since I’ve spent many Thanksgiving holidays alone at this point. It has been a great way to enjoy stuffing without needing to cook a ton for one human being.

Cornbread Stuffing, Microwaved Spinach and the Grilled Chicken all from Trader Joes

  • Roasted Vegetables
    • I love that this side option is roasted vegetables that include brussel sprouts, sweet potato etc., and is only made with olive oil. Plus, it’s not overly oily so my stomach can certainly handle it and it’s good exposure for me.

  • Roasted Turkey and Sweet Potato Burrito
    • I was SHOCKED I liked this since pre-made sandwiches and wraps usually have condiments I don’t like on it. However, this one is tasty and definitely a favorite of mine. I usually have 1 per year. I'm not even a big cranberry fan, but it does not tend to bother me at all. It most certainly is Thanksgiving wrapped in a burrito.

Random Flavors

  • Cornbread Crips
    • Yep.. these are absolutely addicting and I’m absolutely a lover of cornbread flavors/cornbread in general. Although, I feel like these were around for a long long time last year. They pair great with the harvest chili!

  • Apple Cinnamon Sourdough Bread
    • Also a great seasonal hit.. that I thought was being offered year-round, but I’m truly not so sure… Someone check on that for me.

Items I want to try
  • Fall Harvest Salsa

  • Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie Donut Holes: I went to buy these on my first run of the season and they were out-of-stock! Hopefully my next haul. I stil need to try the chocolate ones too.

  • Pumpkin Cheesecake & Sheet Cake (lowkey a fear food I need to conquer if i’m being honest) I have tried the muffins but they were not my fave. I def prefer others.

  • Mini Pumpkin Samoas: Every year I say I’m going to buy these and never do. This year maybe the year. I did love those pumpkin empanadas, but they have been discontinued unfortunately.

Offered year-round, but gives immaculate fall vibes
  • Harvest Vegetable Egg White Bites (I’m addicted to these and I would definitely cry if this became seasonal because I love them so much. )

  • Hearty Minestrone Soup

  • Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup

  • Kettle Cooked Chicken Soup

  • Lentil & Ancient Grain Soup

  • Riced Cauliflower Bowl (Current Fave Trader Joe’s Frozen Meal)

  • Sweet Potatoes

  • Pumpkin Seeds

  • Apple Cinnamon Squeeze Pouches

Other Trader Joe's Fall Items I Recall Trying and my Thoughts:

  • Pumpkin Bagels! I actually plan on buying these on my next haul. I think I have a bad habit of having them get freezer burn, but I know I liked them. It's also been a few years since I purchased them.

  • Pumpkin O's: Lowkey they are really good. Just a tad too sweet for my liking and I've been into other cereal brands more. Not saying it won't make it's way into my cart though since they reformulated it for 2026.

  • Pumpkin RX Bars: I LOVE THESE! However, I haven't seen them at Trader Joe's yet this fall. I did purchase the Pumpkin Barebells bar to try although I tend to find those too candy like for me. I'll keep you all updated.

  • Butternut Squash Mac n' Cheese... okay I am willing to give it another go, but I truthfully have not seen the hype.

  • Gluten Free Pumpkin Streusel Muffins... Honestly, I was not the biggest fan of these. I don't love streusel topping to begin with on my muffins and much prefer a pumpkin muffin from Starbucks or elsewhere. It's not bad just not something I have to get.

  • Pumpkin Empanadas: RIP to one of my favorite fall finds I never thought I would like. It's been discontinued to my understanding :-/
