My Five Favorite Grocery Essentials for Meatless Meals from Trader Joe’s

1. Trader Joe’s Riced Cauliflower Bowl

Never met a better frozen meal to be perfectly open with you. It’s so tasty and I love the fact it incorporates ingredients I don’t typically use for diversity in my diet as well. I never make dishes with tofu and this frozen bowl has tofu and chickpeas in it for some protein. It's also vegan for those who follow a vegan diet. Highly recommend always keeping a box of this in your freezer for an easy lunch/dinner option.

2. Vegan Lentil and Ancient Grain Soup

This is a delicious year-round soup option from Trader Joe’s that I was genuinely surprised I liked. It’s actually super filling for a soup and you don’t necessarily need to add anything else to it. You can find it in the refrigerated area of your local Trader Joe's store. This is another vegan option as well and it once again uses ingredients I don't typically cook with myself like lentils.

3. Shrimp Burgers

I love love love love these for an easy protein source. You can grill them, pan dry them or bake them in the oven. I tend to bake them in the Winter and grill them on Summer days. These are fantastic in-between an English muffin, a wrap or on a bagel.

4. Shrimp Sriracha Bowl

Another great Trader Joe’s frozen meal option is the shrimp sriracha bowl. It’s definitely a good one and something different. My only wish is that they added more shrimp to the bowl, but then again you can just purchase the medium cooked shrimp while you're in the freezer aisle and add more yourself to the dish. I'm typically not a huge rice fan, but the sriracha sauce definitely makes the rice way tastier than a plain serving.

5. Buttermilk Protein Pancake Mix

I have my own favorite protein pancake mix that I love, but occasionally I’ll mix it with Trader Joe's as well since it’s also tasty and adds more whole grains to my diet. These are great for breakfast for dinner days as well and are relatively cheap compared to other protein pancake mixes out there.

  • Cheese! I love the lite shredded mozzarella, unexpected cheddar and the fresh mozzarella string cheese.
