Summer Shortcake Waffles

Is there anything that screams summer more than berries? I live for summer fruits and all the fabulous flavors that come with it.




A lot of brands come out with seasonal strawberries and blueberry flavors and I enjoy adding them into some of my staple recipes for that added flavor. Therefore, I bring to you Summer Strawberry Shortcake Waffles.




These Summer Shortcake Waffles are loaded with summer flavors, significantly high in protein and super simple to make.


Waffles with fresh berries are always a dreamy way to spend summer nights or a cozy sunday morning.


Now onto this recipe

I used two servings of Pamcakes Pancakes High Protein Classic Buttermilk mix as the base. My Code KatieKreates saves you 10% off your order!


Then I added 1 tsp of Cinnamon and 1 heaping scoop of Iconic Vanilla Protein Powder to the mix.


On top of all the powders, add 2 tbsp of baking powder and 4 ½ tbsp of liquid egg whites. You will need to add additional water to your preferred consistency.


Pro Tip: Add the water and egg whites directly on the baking powder to enhance fluffiness.


Once it’s all whisked together you will want to stir in 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries into the batter.


To make the waffles, I use the Dash mini 4 inch waffle maker. It’s super simple and actually notifies you of when your waffles are ready with the light on top of the machine.
