Who says you have to pick between donuts and muffins when you can have both?

This is a new fall favorite recipe of mine and a different mix-up from my usual go-to fall flavor of pumpkin.

I love this recipe because it incorporates my favorite brands and allows me to use convenience with a dry mix while switching up the ingredients to make it my own.

It’s free from the top 14 allergens and has the perfect amount of sweetness with a bit of spice.

A must-make for all your fall festivities and holiday needs.

This is a must-make for fall, top 14 allergen free, and the perfect amount of sweetness with a bit of spice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package GoNanas Apple Cider Donut Muffin Mix

  • 2 mashed bananas (approx: 220g)

  • 2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce (approx 40g)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (but truthfully measure with your heart)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (also another good heart measure LOL)

  • 2 tbsp oat haus apple cider donut granola butter

  • 2 tbsp water

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray your muffin tin.

  2. Grab a small bowl and mash your 2 bananas with a fork until smooth consistency.

  3. Add your bananas into a medium size bowl. Then, whisk the bananas with the rest of the wet ingredients: Oat Haus granola butter, applesauce, and vanilla extract.

  4. Next, add in your dry Apple Cider Donut banana bread mix and cinnamon.

  5. Slowly stir all ingredients together. Add a splash of water/extra vanilla extract if needed for muffin consistency.

  6. Evenly divide muffin batter into the muffin tin and bake for approx. 20 minutes.

A little professional tip, but an ice scream scooper does wonders for even division of muffin batter in the pan. I also highly encourage storing this in a tightly closed container for 3 days on the counter, 5 days in the fridge or freeze them for long lasting.

This has become one of my favorite recipes to bring to gatherings because it's sweeter than some of my other recipes, yet still a healthier muffin option while also being super allergen friendly.
