Healthy Peaches n' Cream Smoothie

When National Smoothie Day and National Peaches n’ Cream Day fall on the same day.. you make one of your favorite smoothie creations in honor of it.

Peach recipes are always a bit harder than some of the other fruits to create a masterpiece with. However, this recipe is one even my father called “top tier.”

You will need:

  • Frozen Peaches

  • Banana

  • Milk

  • Cinnamon

  • Vanilla Protein Powder

  • Vanilla Extract

  • Ice

I used my Ninja blender and placed 1 ¼ cup of frozen peaches into the blender. Then, I added 1 tray of ice cubes and ½ a banana. I have done this recipe with both a fresh or a frozen banana. Either option will work effectively for this smoothie recipe.

After adding in my frozen fruits, I measure out 6 oz or 3 ⁄ 4 of a cup of milk as my liquid. I highly recommend using dairy milk compared to dairy alternative milks for a truly creamy taste. I stick to lactose free options with Fairlife and the Lactaid brand. The fairlife milk is also ultra-filtered.

Using lactose free milks compared to non-dairy alternatives not only makes it creamier and helps it blend easier, but also allows the smoothie to be more satisfying and fulfilling in my personal opinion.

Next, I put a scoop of Iconic Vanilla Protein Powder into the blender.. I love adding protein powder to my smoothies as it helps with creating a thicker texture and amplifies the flavor of the recipe. Additionally, it adds a nice boost of protein into your day.

You can substitute the protein powder for any brand that you prefer. However, I absolutely love Iconic Protein Powder. It is whey and casein based, but contains no lactose in it and has a simple ingredient list which I appreciate.

I finish off the recipe with a 1 ⁄ 4 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1 ⁄ 2 tsp of cinnamon. All that’s left is blending until you reach a smooth consistency. Pour into a glass and enjoy the ultimate nourishing beverage for Summer.
