Raspberries n' Cream Smoothie
Raspberries were never a common fruit in my household growing up, and truth be told I rarely ever buy fresh raspberries. However, I have been on a raspberry smoothie kick for months now.
I recently learned to stop buying just one bag of frozen raspberries when I hit the grocery store and amp up my quantity because I have been flying through those mini frozen bags of raspberries.
Chocolate Raspberry Smoothies, Vanilla Raspberry Smoothies, Raspberry Cinnamon Smoothies, Raspberries with all kinds of other fruits, you name it, I have been obsessed lately. You just really cannot go wrong with the raspberry flavor.
Plus, raspberries have one of the highest fiber contents out of any type of food. One cup of raspberries has eight grams of fiber in it.
Raspberry smoothies are an easy way to amp up that daily fiber intake especially on days where whole grains, fruits and vegetables are hard to come by.
While I have many variations of raspberry smoothies. This is one of my favorite recipes for a well-rounded nourishing and refreshing beverage.
Raspberries N’ Cream Smoothie Recipe
1 cup of Frozen Raspberries
½ Frozen Banana
1/4c Greek Yogurt. (I love using 1/2 the individual container of the Raspberry flavor of Two Good Greek Yogurt)
½ scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder. Iconic Vanilla Protein Powder is my go-to.
Splash of Vanilla Extract
Dash of Cinnamon
Smoothie recipes are easily adaptable to whatever ingredients you prefer. I love the limited ingredients and taste of the Iconic protein powder I choose to use. I also love the pre-made shakes which I use as my liquid base for the majority of my smoothies for extra protein and flavor. You can always substitute the protein base for milk.
I have a few greek yogurt brands I’ll purchase, but Two Good Yogurt is definitely my favorite for sure. The raspberry flavor also happens to be my second favorite flavor of all-time.
I do recommend freezing the banana, and adding loads of extra ice for that thick creamy texture on this smoothie.
