3 Ingredient Raspberry Protein Smoothie
My latest smoothie obsession of choice is this simple 3 ingredient recipe that packs in so much great nutrition that serves me well after a busy day of work.
My favorite aspect of this smoothie is that it gets color, fiber, and protein into your day. It's been on repeat for me after work most days for a few reasons.
The first is that I always feel slightly dehydrated after a day of work so a smoothie sounds so good.
The second is because I usually need some color after protein shakes, yogurts and Starbucks food which is provided from the raspberries in this smoothie.
The third is that it uses three ingredients and does not take much thinking or time to whip together.
I love the fact it uses raspberries because they have some of the highest fiber content out of all fruits and veggies. However, if you prefer another fruit that works just fine as well.
I grab a tray (or maybe two) of ice cubes and ¾ cup of frozen raspberries and toss them into the blender.
Then, I add one and a half scoops of the vital proteins’ chocolate collagen powder. Although collagen is not a complete protein source it still has a high protein content and helps to support healthy hair, skin, nails, and joints.
My last ingredient is the liquid source. I use 4 to 6 oz of the iconic chocolate or vanilla (usually depends on which one I have opened). I enjoy the fact they add some additional flavor and additional protein compared to regular milk. However, if you don’t have these shakes available milk should work just fine.
All you have left to do is blend until smooth and pour into a glass to enjoy.
